CADAQUES

"I have spent a delightful summer, as always, in the perfect and dreamy town of Cadaqués. There, alongside the Latin sea, I have been quenched by light and colour".  S. Dali

A picturesque Catalán fishing town surrounded by a pure light, crisp sea breezes, and crystal waters. Cadaqués has attracted many artists, bohemians and travellers who have been enticed by its naturally beautiful scenary. One of Picasso and Salvador Dali's favorite spots without a doubt. Dali came to know the town before WWI in it's humble natural state. Cadaqués now bosts the same charm with all the modern ammenities. Although the population is quite small the numbers do grow in the summer months. The beauty of Cadaqués has you wanting to come back for more each time you visit. Just a short 2 hour drive North of Barcelona, it makes for an easy weekend/day trip where you get away from all the hustle and bustle of the big city. You can discover Cadaqués by walking it's rugged terrain to an isolated private beach Cap de Creus, or by boating out into the bay to see the town as the fishermen would upon arriving from sea. If you round the bend to Port Lligat you will find Salvador Dali's house which is everso enchanting. Ramble through the main town and you won't be bored, for at each corner of its painted white walled streets are plenty of craft shops, art galleries and small cafe's. Venture off to Cadaqués this summer and you won't be dissapointed.
